Buy Threaded Osteosynthesis Wire 70 mm × 1 mm with Trocar Point
Bone fixation implant, 70 mm long and 1 mm in diameter, indicated for the reduction and fixation of metaphyseal fractures, diaphyseal fractures and dislocations of the bones of the hand and foot, temporary arthrodesis of small joints and temporary intraoperative fixation of fragments. Implant steel 1.4441, with a chemically passive, non-magnetic surface.
The seven-millimetre threaded section behind the point anchors the wire in cancellous bone and stops it backing out during healing, a common cause of reintervention in percutaneous fixation. The three-facet point enters progressively and generates less heat than a flat point, a factor that determines the viability of the bone around the implant.
Supplied non-sterile, so the centre can process it in its own autoclave cycle alongside the rest of the instruments. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
