Buy Osteosynthesis Wire 150 mm × 1.1 mm with 10 mm Thread and Trocar Point
Bone fixation implant 150 mm long and 1.1 mm in diameter, indicated for reduction and fixation of metaphyseal fractures, diaphyseal fractures and dislocations of the bones of the hand and foot, and temporary intraoperative fixation of fragments. Implant steel 1.4441, chemically passive and non-magnetic on the surface.
The difference from a round millimetre is one tenth, and it exists for a reason: there are fragments that give way at 1 mm and will not take 1.2. This gauge covers that gap without forcing a choice between a wire that flexes and one that removes too much bone going in.
Supplied non-sterile, so the hospital can process it in its own autoclave cycle along with the rest of the instrument set. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
