Straight wire in implant steel 1.4441 with an eyelet formed at one end, indicated for temporary intraoperative fixation and reduction of fragments and for stable, load-bearing fracture fixation. Chemically passive and non-magnetic surface, suitable for patients of any age.
The eyelet is a fixed point to pass the opposite end through, so that the loop closes on the wire itself and not on a twist made by hand. Ten combinations cover from 280 millimetres up to a full metre, the size needed when large-diameter bone has to be encircled or more than one turn is required.
Supplied non-sterile, so the hospital can process it in its own autoclave cycle along with the rest of the instrument set. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
