Straight wire in implant steel 1.4441 indicated for temporary intraoperative fixation and reduction of fragments and for stable, load-bearing fracture fixation. Chemically passive and non-magnetic surface, suitable for patients of any age.
It arrives already cut to size, with both ends free. Against the coil, the straight length saves the step of measuring and cutting over the field, and avoids the residual curl that a wire carries after being coiled. The five combinations, from 0.4 × 150 to 1.2 × 300 millimetres, pair each gauge with the length that gauge usually needs.
Supplied non-sterile, so the hospital can process it in its own autoclave cycle along with the rest of the instrument set. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
