Implant 4 mm in diameter indicated for reduction and fixation of metaphyseal fractures, temporary intraoperative fixation and reduction of fragments and stable, load-bearing fracture fixation. Implant steel 1.4441, chemically passive and non-magnetic on the surface.
At this thickness it is no longer a wire accompanying another implant: the fixation rests on it. The ten millimetre thread stops being insurance against migration and becomes the main anchorage in cancellous bone. Three lengths, from 150 to 310 millimetres.
Supplied non-sterile, so the hospital can process it in its own autoclave cycle along with the rest of the instrument set. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
