Implant 3.2 mm in diameter indicated for reduction and fixation of metaphyseal fractures, temporary intraoperative fixation and reduction of fragments and stable, load-bearing fracture fixation. Implant steel 1.4441, chemically passive and non-magnetic on the surface.
This gauge comes in two deliberately distant lengths, 150 and 350 millimetres, because at 3.2 millimetres the uses are distant too: a short metaphyseal fixation or a long run down the diaphysis. There is no intermediate size because in practice it is not asked for.
Supplied non-sterile, so the hospital can process it in its own autoclave cycle along with the rest of the instrument set. It is a single-use device: it is not reprocessed once implanted.
